Green Celtic Cross Pouch

The Celtic cross or haloed cross is a cross in which a ring is inscribed. It is the characteristic symbol of Celtic Christianity. The arms of the cross always protrude from the ring, and in the most detailed representations, the circle is set back from the cross. The name Celtic cross applied to the symbolic design composed of a circle and a cross (the arms of the cross protruding from the edges of the circle) is due to the fact that monuments of this type are commonly found in cemeteries in Ireland and throughout the Irish countryside. It is also called the Eucharistic cross in Catholic circles, the circle symbolizing the Holy Host.
